Our campus researchers have been very active in 2005-06 and received $543 million in research awards. The strengths of our research programs are evident in the latest National Science Foundation's data for research expenditures (2005) where UC Davis ranks:

• 2^nd in Agricultural research expenditures
• 12^th in Life Science research expenditures
• 13^th in Biological Sciences research expenditures
• 19^th in Social Sciences research expenditures
• 27^th in Environmental Sciences research expenditures

In addition, UC Davis' Veterinary research program is ranked No.4 by National Institute for Health (2005).
