Employee Benefit Rates and Salary Range Projections

Jump to the Salary Range Projections below

Employee Benefit Rates

To the extent available, please use the employee’s actual benefits costs for budgeting benefit expenses.

If such information is not available (e.g., for a new hire), please use the information available from the Office of Resource Management and Budget at the following link:

http://www.ormp.ucdavis.edu/budget/benefits.html

UC RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTION:

Consistent with discussions with the Office of Resource Management and Planning (ORMP) regarding the impending required employee/employer contribution to retirement accounts, effective immediately we are requesting that all new proposals seeking extramural support of projects at UC Davis include the following as the Employer Contribution to the UCRS, to be added to all actual benefit rates as well as projected benefit rates available at the above URL:

July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009:  0%

July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010:  4%

July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011:  4%

July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012:  6%

July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013:  8%

July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014: 10%

These are prudent estimates of what are likely lower limits for the employer contributions and will be updated as we get more information.  Please also note that we will be required to adjust budgets once the Regents determine the actual figures the university will be contributing to the retirement system on behalf of employees.
