Key Initiatives
UC Davis IMPACT Center Program
The Office of Research is pleased to announce a program designed to establish and launch new multidisciplinary centers that respond to society’s greatest challenges and needs. The IMPACT (Inter & Multidisciplinary Program to Accelerate Convergence & Translation) Centers program aims to identify and support the launch and operation of multidisciplinary centers with innovative research in topical areas expected to remain vibrant for 10 years or more.
Research Pathways to Impact
Research Pathways to Impact offers a suite of online programming to help researchers and innovators advance their programs and careers. The series provides the campus research community with a platform offering regular interactions around themes of common interest (including emerging research areas), access to research development resources and guidance on best practices.
Distributed Research Incubation & Venture Engine
UC Davis is taking a distributed approach to developing a network of lean, thematically oriented business incubators both on-campus and off-campus through the Venture Catalyst Distributed Research Incubation & Venture Engine (DRIVE™) program. The UC Davis-HM.CLAUSE Life Science Innovation Center was recently launched as one of the first incubators of this network.
Partnership with São Paulo Research Foundation
Along with the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), one of Brazil’s principal research funding agencies, the Office of Research has developed scientific, technological and funding opportunities to build connections between UC Davis and Brazilian researchers.
