Gov’t Funding for Industry Collaboration

Federal and state funding programs provide opportunities for university faculty to develop collaborative research projects with industry.

Some funding opportunities may require internal coordination at UC Davis before a proposal is submitted. These funding opportunities are know as limited submissions. A limited submission program is a funding program in which the sponsor restricts the number of applications or proposals the campus can submit. Generally, these programs allow the campus to submit only one or two proposals for each application cycle.

The Office of Research maintains a listserv to keep faculty members informed of upcoming funding opportunities and limited submissions.
