As Director of Corporate Relations at UC Davis, Mona works as the key liaison between the business community and the University. Through this role, she develops and manages corporate partnership opportunities and matches University assets to the needs of industry.Mona serves as a UC Davis-wide resource, working with academic and administrative leadership, faculty, staff, development officers and others to advance UC Davis’ priorities through increased investment from corporations. She has been engaged in the development of systems to promote and expand new and emerging research initiatives and the advancement of alliances to support these initiatives here at UC Davis for over 15 years. Prior to becoming Director of Corporate Relations for the campus, Mona was the director of Industry Research Alliances in the Office of Research, where she worked to mobilize the campus academic and facility resources to support industry-university partnerships. Mona brings to this position a deep knowledge of the UC system, and of UC Davis faculty and research in particular, as well as a strong understanding of corporate and industrial interests in higher education and research.Mona has a Master’s in Public Health from UC Berkeley and a B.A. in Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara.
As the Core Analyst in the Office Corporate Relations, Kristen works to coordinate data and development for the unit including research expertise and strategic coordination in support of industry partnerships at UC Davis. Prior to joining OCR, Kristen has over eight years of experience providing analytical support to the Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations as well as the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost. Previous employment also includes working for the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Science, a member of The Claremont Colleges Consortium, Cal Polytechnic University, Pomona, College of Agriculture; and U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA NRCS). Kristen is a proud alumna of UC Davis in Landscape Architecture.
Victor is the Partnership Positioning Coordinator for Technology Management and Corporate Relations (TMCR). Victor received a Ph.D. from UC Davis in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a B.Sci. in Biology from Utah State University, and is a registered patent agent licensed to practice before the USPTO. Prior to joining TMCR, Victor worked as an intellectual property analyst for a San Francisco law firm. He also has several years of hands-on experience working in university, industry, and government lab settings on projects ranging from environmental bio-remediation to crop biotechnology. Victor works closely with InnovationAccess and the Office of Corporate Relations (OCR) to help identify and generate strategic collaborations between the University by leveraging the research expertise on campus, and to manage and implement special projects that promote the integration of technology transfer opportunities with our industry partnerships.
Joyce is an Analyst with the Office of Corporate Relations (OCR). In her position she provides analytical, research, and administrative services in coordination of strategic UC Davis-wide relationships with industry partners. Joyce is the key point of contact for integration of all logistical and administrative support for the office. She holds a campus certificate in event planning which is useful when coordinating corporate visits to UC Davis. Prior to joining OCR, Joyce worked in several other departments on campus including the California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) and Environmental Toxicology. Previous employment also includes working for the City of Woodland and the Davis Joint Unified School District as an Elementary School Teacher. Joyce earned her BA in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from National University.
As Manager for the Office of Corporate Relations, Jamie works closely with faculty, staff and corporate partners to build and strengthen industry partnerships. Before joining OCR, Jamie was part of the UC Davis Seed Biotechnology Center where she worked as a UC Discovery Fellow to develop substantial, long-term collaborations and partnerships between university researchers and the seed industry. Jamie has a Ph.D. from UC Davis in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and an H.B.S in Biochemistry & Biophysics from Oregon State University. She also has intensive business development training through the UC Davis Center for Entrepreneurship.
