Steven Tudor is the Director of the Technology Transfer Office at UC Davis, where he leads a team dedicated to managing the university’s intellectual property portfolio and advancing research commercialization. His work focuses on licensing, faculty engagement, and strategic improvements that support innovation across campus. Steven is committed to fostering a collaborative and responsive environment that supports researchers and promotes the university’s mission.
Before joining UC Davis, Steven spent nearly a decade at the University of North Texas, where he most recently led both technology transfer and research contracting activities. He played a key role in increasing commercialization activity, improving internal processes, and supporting faculty startups. Earlier in his career, he worked in industry contracting at UT Southwestern Medical Center and worked in a plant genetics research lab at the Noble Research Institute. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to supporting research from the lab bench to the marketplace.
Steven holds a Juris Doctor with a focus in Intellectual Property from Texas A&M School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology–Biomedical Science from the University of Oklahoma.
