Information Technology Systems & Services
The Office of Research IT unit supports the advancement of research, through delivery of IT services and support to OR units, associated ORUs, Impact Centers and UCOP. We accomplish this by supporting infrastructure, hardware, software, systems, and reporting that provides foundational support for OR institutional activities and supporting tactical execution of information security activities.
The services we provide include:
- Website development
- Application programming and development
- Data reporting
- Technical support for OR hardware and software applications
- Server and database infrastructure support
- Security consulting
- Software purchases
- All software and IT vendor services that may involve software or data must be evaluated by OR IT before purchase.
- To submit a software purchase or IT services request, fill out an OR Data Protection Level Assessment Form and send to OR Tech
- Standard laptop computing bundles
- View real-time status of UC Davis IT services
