National Research Administrators Day: September 25
On September 25 we celebrate National Research Administrators Day in recognition of the critical contributions so many of you and your teams make to advance research and innovation at UC Davis.
Each year, UC Davis research administrators help prepare and submit thousands of proposals, manage nearly $1 billion in sponsored research funding, facilitate compliance, protect and commercialize intellectual property and enable the daily operations required for our research enterprise to thrive.
Your expertise provides the foundation to move discoveries forward while upholding the standards and integrity that define UC Davis. By navigating complex requirements, building strong partnerships, and guiding projects throughout the research lifecycle, you give our faculty and research teams the support they need to pursue bold ideas and address important societal needs.
Although much of your work takes place behind the scenes, its impact can be seen in every resulting breakthrough, new technology and innovation that improves lives in California and around the world.
Thank you for your professionalism, ingenuity, and adaptability—especially as we navigate a dynamic landscape with both sizable challenges and opportunities.
