Collaborating with Others

Strategic Partnerships
UC Davis has several well-established collaborative arrangements with regional, national, and international partners. Many of these institutions offer joint funding, exchange, and research opportunities for UC Davis researchers on topics of mutual interest.

Support for Initiating New Research Collaborations
The Interdisciplinary Research Catalyst (IRC) program facilitates, support, and enables faculty to pursue large scale interdisciplinary funding opportunities and host events that bring together researchers on topics of mutual interest.

Faculty Expertise
There are several resources available to identify potential collaborators at UC Davis including Knode, Pivot, and SciVal.

UC Davis Faculty with International Linkages
Global Affairs maintains this database of faculty on campus with international connections.

Subawards
Researchers at UC Davis often find that their research and other projects can be enhanced by partnering with other institutions on extramurally funded projects. When the partnering institution provides a significant portion of the programmatic effort and exercises independent responsibility for programmatic decisions, this partnership usually takes the form of a subaward.
