Mouse Handling with Lab Animal Skills
**PLEASE NOTE: The Learning Management Systen (LMS), where trainings are housed, is set up for employees. If you are a student or visiting scholar, you must request access to the system before you can complete your training. Please email [email protected] to request access to the system.This 3 hour course covers practical handling, restraint, gavage, injection, and blood collection techniques commonly used with laboratory mice. The instructor-led Mouse Handling course is available upon request. Course objectives include:
- Identifying proper handling techniques for the mouse.
- Understanding proper laboratory behavior while handling mice.
- Identifying the proper PPE that should be worn while working with mice.

The ACU101 class and Lab Animal Skills Video must be completed and attendees must be cleared through the Occupational Health Surveillance System (OHSS) PRIOR to enrolling in Mouse Handling
