Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI)

The Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute is a member-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the bioeconomy of the United States. The institute’s work will positively impact not only manufacturing but also healthcare and education & workforce development for the nation.  ARMI facilitates opportunities for institute and directed projects from the federal government and large companies funding R&D

Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU)

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities is a network of leading universities linking the Americas, Asia, and Australasia.  APRU brings together thought leaders, researchers, and policy-makers to exchange ideas and collaborate on practical solutions to the challenges of the 21st century.  In the post-pandemic era, their strategic priorities focus on:

  1. providing a neutral platform for high-level policy dialogue;
  2. exploring innovative solutions for a sustainable future; and
  3. supporting diversity, inclusion, and minorities.

APRU’s primary activities support these strategic priorities, focusing on critical areas such as disaster risk reduction, women in leadership, indigenous knowledge, virtual student exchange, e-sports, population aging, global health, sustainable cities, artificial intelligence, waste management, and more.

Association of Public & Land-Grant Universities (APLU)

The Association of Public & land-Grant Universities fosters a community of university leaders collectively working to advance the mission of public research universities. The association’s membership consists of nearly 250 public research universities, land-grant institutions, state university systems, and affiliated organizations spanning across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, six U.S. territories, Canada, and Mexico.  The association and its members collectively focus on: increasing access, equity, completion, and workforce readiness; promoting pathbreaking scientific research; and bolstering economic and community engagement.

Bioindustrial Manufacturing And Design Ecosystem (BioMADE)

The Bioindustrial Manufacturing And Design Ecosystem is a community focused bioindustrial manufacturing Innovation Institute from the DoD Manufacturing USA program.  Its mission is to enable domestic bioindustrial manufacturing at all scales, develop technologies to enhance U.S. bioindustrial competitiveness, de-risk investment in relevant infrastructure, and expand the biomanufacturing workforce to realize the economic promise of industrial biotechnology.

UC Davis is a governing member of BioMADE, accessible to the U.S. government and industry to advance scale-up biomanufacturing, downstream processing, and testing & evaluation.  See all BioMADE members >

Coalition for Epi Response Engagement and Science (CERES)

The Coalition for Epi Response Engagement and Science was established as a consortium of six top land-grant universities: UC Davis, Colorado State, Texas A&M, Iowa State University, University of Nebraska, and Kansas State University.  The CERES mission is to protect and defend our agricultural industry against global health threats, and to provide innovation for food security, now and into the future.  Goals include engagement with urban and rural communities to effect adoption of better infection control practices and innovation; rapid detection of high-consequence threats; and agile stockpiling and production to thwart regional and national outbreaks.

OMNIBUS IV

The Omnibus IV contracting vehicle was awarded in May 2022 by the Defense Health Agency with a $10 billion ceiling for 10 years.  Omnibus IV is designed to enhance the related medical research and development programs of the Department of Defense (DoD).  An added value of Omnibus IV is research and development migrating into medical practice via translation science support and services.

UC Davis is part of a team led by Military Health Research Foundation (MHRF).

Universitas 21 (U21) is a unique global network that brings together 29 world-leading, research-intensive universities who share a common belief in the value of collaboration and internationalisation.  Its member-led initiatives and programs are designed to benefit staff, students and member institutions, through sharing resources, learning together and co-designing solutions to our common challenges.
